Psalm 3 KJV Commentary
The main theme of Psalm 3 KJV Commentary is the
enemy thinks that we are finished, but Our Lord bless us in front of our
adversaries. Though they are many but still our LORD will defeat them all.
This is the Psalm written by King
David when he fled from Absalom his son.Psalm 3 shows us how to be
confident in the time of troubles.

Here King David asking Lord, how are
they increased that trouble me.
He says to the Lord, many are they that rise up
against me. Fear came in King David’s mind.So he is asking for help from the
Lord.
In King David’s life, many enemies
rise against him and he was surprised to see them because he did no wrong to
them.
Many times in our life we face the
situation where we also ask God how our challenges are increased.
How the
problems are getting worse, how adverse condition is rising.
Even if so many enemies stand
against us we should not fear because LORD is help in trouble time.

Here in this verse, King David’s
enemy is saying There is no help for him in God. But at the end of the verse,
Selah is used.
What is the meaning of Selah? It
means to praise or reflect upon what has been said.
King David’s enemy thought that God has left
him. But that was not true.
Looking at our situation our enemies
laugh and they say God has left him and now God is not helping him to come out
of this situation.
Though the enemy is saying that
there is no help for him in God we don’t have to trust the enemy.
We have to
calm down and think about how big is our God and how He will deliver us from
the given situation.

Here in this verse promise is given
by the Lord to King David, that LORD is his shield and glory. LORD lifts the
head of his anointed servant.
LORD is a shield to his people. LORD
protects them He is Shepherd to his sheep.
LORD is his glory and those who
trust His plans LORD gives glory to them.
But our enemies forget that our LORD
is our shield in all the situations of our life.
Our God is bigger than our
problems. Whatever challenges we are facing today our God can turn them into
the blessings.
All of our adversaries will look at us and they all will be
amazed to see us coming out of that situation and getting blessings from God.
LORD is our honor he lifts our head
in front of our enemies.

King David cried unto the LORD and
LORD heard him out of his holy hill.
What is the holy hill? It is holy
mountain Zion. It represents heaven where LORD dwells.
As King David cried the same way we
should cry before LORD in the time of trouble and then LORD will deliver us.
During the time of trouble, we have
to cry before LORD. When we come near to God and ask for help, He is ready to
help us in all the situations of our life.
LORD will hear our voice and he will
listen to our cry.
The seats in Holy mountain which is
the holy hill of Zion.
LORD dwells in heaven and from there He gives answers to
our prayers.

Here King David is relaxed because
he knows that even if he sleeps LORD will sustain him and protect him. He will
awake from sleep.
As King David was relaxed the same
way we should be relaxed because LORD is our protector. He is our give us
angels to protect us.
If you are worried about any
situation and you think the problem is getting severe and you can not come out
of it.
I want to say you just go on your bed and relax and sleep.
Give your worries, problems,
challenges into the hand of our LORD and he will deal with all of them.
Sleeping and relaxing during the
time of trouble shows the utmost trust in the power of God.
During such time
ask for peace from God only because of peace we can sleep and relax.
We are safe and secure under the
mighty hand of our God. Here the verse
says that we are awaked, this means even in the negative situation we will
awake are rise up against.
One testimony I want to give. I know
one lady her house was going to be get demolished by a certain group of people.
I said pray and God will help you, but she was in so much pain she said she is
not in condition to pray.
Then I said go to your bed and sleep and handover
your problem into the hand of GOD.
She did that and guess what, our LORD has
blessed her not only with one house but she received two houses. Praise God.

Though the enemies are ten thousand
and they set themselves against him still he will not be afraid.
Even ten thousand enemies come
against us we should not fear because LORD will smite them and they all will be
defeated.
We don’t have to be afraid even if
the enemies are in ten thousand in number.
In Psalm 91:7 it is mentioned that
thousand will fall before us and ten thousand will fall at our right hand. Such
a powerful LORD we serve.
Though our problems are ten thousand
in number still we can overcome the problems and come out of it safely.
Though challenges come round about
us still we don’t have to fear at all, because we can demolish the challenges
by the power of God.
We don’t have to magnify our
problems, instead, we have to magnify the power of our LORD.
Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.Psalm 3:7 KJV Commentary

Here King David asking LORD to Arise
and to save him from his enemies.
LORD has smitten all his enemies upon the
cheekbone. LORD has broken the teeth of the ungodly people.
LORD will Arise and He will save us.
Teeth of the ungodly people will be broken.
Arise is mentioned at the beginning
of this verse. We have to pray to God that He should Arise and take control of
our Life.
LORD is always ready to take control
of our life but are we ready to hand over our lives and submit ourselves to the
plans of the LORD that is the big question.
LORD will break the teeth of the
ungodly people means he will shatter the plans of the ungodly people.

Salvation
belongs to our LORD and His blessings are upon his people.
What is
the meaning of salvation? It means preservation or deliverance from sin.
LORD will
show us mercy and He will forgive us from all our sins.
Those who
accept Jesus Christ are redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Salvation belongs to
such people.
Because of the stripes of Jesus Christ, we are healed.
For the
church blessings follows and the cup of blessing overflows.
Blessing is the
birthright of God’s children and they will receive it in abundance.
Prayer:
Dear LORD though my enemy think that you are done with me,
but it is not true. You always there to help me and guide me.
Even ten
thousands of enemy come against me still you can save me from them. You are my
shield and my glory.
Help me to grow in faith and lead me in the path of
righteousness. In Jesus name I Pray. Amen.
