in all our ways.
What is the meaning of Shepherd? Shepherd is a person who
tends a sheep. Who takes care of sheep who leads and guides sheep. Who protect

MY Shepherd: The above scripture doesn’t say that LORD is
our shepherd instead of that it says He is my shepherd. He is so special to me
because out of many people in this world He has chosen me to be His sheep.

If the Lord is our Shepherd then who can be against us.
Our enemy has no power or rights to come in front of us. He is defeated already.
Shepherd's job is not easy. He has to keep eye on all his
sheep and he has to protect them from other animals that may attack the sheep.
Who is Shepherd? Shepherd is a person who leads or guides
sheep. Who takes care of his sheep. Shepherd has a daily task. He wakes up
early in the morning. Then take his sheep to the pasture where sheep can graze.
What are the qualities of Shepherd? Shepherd is the
person who has wisdom, calmness, patience, mercy. Some of the earthly workers
LORD have chosen to represent Himself. Characters like Farmer, Potter,
Shepherd, etc.
I am a sheep and my shepherd is LORD who created heaven
and earth. I am so blessed to have LORD is my shepherd. He is the source of
wisdom and all power and glory belong to Him. He is a loving father.
He knows
what is right and what is not good for me. He has the best plan for my life. As
a sheep and shepherd, we have heart to heart relationship. He knows how to
guide me and lead me. I can listen to His voice.
Why we lack things? Because it is our desire and not LORD
desire. Suppose you have certain things to be done and to fix that you require
1 Lac Rs and then you will start asking LORD to give me 1 Lack Rs. But LORD
will say I will fix that thing and not I will give you 1 Lac because to fix
that thing it may require only 50 thousand Rs.
I shall not want means I shall not have to ask anything
from anyone because LORD is my provider. Lord blessings make a person rich and
he adds no sorrow in it.
Because Lord is my shepherd I lack nothing in my life.
But you may say we lack so many things in life. The problem is that you ask for
your desires and not your want. Lord will fulfill you want and not all your
desires. If you fully trust the Lord you will not lack anything in life. He is
the provider of all things.
Shepherd knows his sheep. He knows there likes and
dislikes. He cares for each sheep. He knows sheep by there name. We are so
special that LORD has chosen us to be His sheep.
What does it mean Lord is my shepherd I shall not want?
It means that because our LORD is our shepherd hence we will lack nothing in
our life.
What is the difference between want and need? The main
difference is want means our desire and need means our actual requirement.
What is the meaning of the LORD is my shepherd I shall
not want? It means if LORD is with us and He is our Shepherd who is guiding us
in our life, then we will lack nothing in this life
.

Green pastures means blessings in our life. Sheep is
always in search of green pastures because he wants to graze on it. Blessings
are a birthright for all those people who belong to LORD. They are entitled to
green pastures.
Scripture says lie down in green pastures, which means we
are in no hurry or not worried to eat that grass. We have ample time to enjoy
our blessings. We have good health and prosperity.
What is the meaning of Green Pasture? Green pasture means
a field where a sheep can graze with comfort. She gets good grass to eat and be
filled. Same way we in our life get all the blessings from LORD as he leads us
towards green pastures.
What is the meaning of makes me? That means he prepares
me for the blessings to come. In our life, we get a vision or prophecy which
states that your blessings are near. A new door of blessings is opening for
you. So we get prepared for the blessings. Same way LORD makes us prepare for
our blessings.
What is the meaning of He makes me lie down in green
pasture? It means LORD prepares us to receive the blessings that He has kept
for us. We have to accept those blessings and enjoy this life.
When you lie down? Most of the time you lie down in the night
time.
How do you feel when you lie down? We feel relaxed and feel comforted.
Same feeling we get when we lie down in green pasture.
Green pasture is fertile ground. Where grass is good to
eat. Lord leads us to this fertile ground. If you are in a job or business you
will be placed in a fertile ground by LORD.
Who can lead? The one who has the experience, the one who
is a leader, the one who can lead people. LORD has all these attributes with
Him.
Who are the Leaders in the Bible? There are so many leaders
in the Bible but one leader I want to mention is Moses. He rescues Israel from
Egypt it was not a simple task.
Same way our LORD rescue us from Spiritual Egypt and Lead
us toward Land of Promise. We must listen to His voice.
What is the meaning of Beside? It means to nearby. LORD
will place us nearby our blessing, now it is our duty to receive those
blessings and claim it for ourselves.
What is the meaning of He leads me beside the still
waters? This means when we are enjoying our blessing we don’t have to worry
because the water is still and no enemy is around that water.
LORD leads us beside the still waters. Still, waters
represent peace in our life. Along with blessings peace is also an important
aspect of our life.
Here water is still which means there is peace in our day
to day life. Water represents the Holy Spirit. LORD leads us towards the Holy
Spirit.
What is the meaning of still waters? Still waters means
where there is no attack from the enemy. It shows a clear path to our success.
Still waters quench my thirst. If I ask LORD fill me with
your Spirit, then LORD fills me up with the Holy Spirit which represents as
water. Jesus said those who are thirsty should come to Him and He will give Him
water i.e. Holy Spirit.
Prayer: Dear LORD thank you for the green pastures that
you have kept for us. Which shows blessings for our life and leading us beside

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Psalm 23:3 KJV Commentary
When our soul is in trouble LORD restores our soul. The
soul needs peace and that peace we get from the LORD. Here scripture says
restoration of the soul.
Most of the time enemy tare down our soul through his
weapon of worry, anxiety, illness, etc. But LORD who seats on a mercy seat do
the act of restoration of our soul.
What is Restoration? It is the process to revive things
back to its original position. Why we need restoration? Because of the worries
of the world we have lost the strength of our soul.
Have you ever seen a
restoration video of any particular product.
Earlier that product was dull and in rust but as
soon as restoration takes place the product becomes brand new and it looks like
a new purchase.
What is the soul? Human beings are consist of three
things Body, Soul, and Spirit. Soul is the part of human beings which is
immortal and because of which person lives on this earth as a human.
What is the meaning of He restores my soul? The simple
meaning of this is LORD quench us our thirst. Whatever problem our soul had he
restore it.
LORD leads us towards the paths of righteousness.
Scripture says we have to walk through the narrow gate because broad is great
which leads to destruction. Here our Shepherd who is nothing but LORD Himself
will lead us to the path of righteousness.
What is the meaning of Paths? Here it says paths and not
path. As righteous people, we can do so many things. Therefore it is mention as
Paths.
What is the meaning of Righteousness? It is the quality
of a person who is morally in good standing with others. Righteous person is
always justifiable.
What is the meaning of the leads me in the paths of
righteousness for his name's sake? That means LORD is always there to lead us
and guide us toward the path of righteousness. He will show us the way and make
us feel comfortable in our journey

He will do this for His name's sake. Because His name is
worthy to be praised. Evil one trembles at his name. His name is above all the
name. His name there is power. His name there is victory. His name, all the
power of the evil one kneels.

Even though we are walking in the valley of the shadow of
death we have no fear in us. This is possible only because the Lord is with us
and he leads us.
Valley of the shadow of death where there is a spirit of fear
works. Because LORD is with us we have conquered over the spirit of fear.
What is the meaning of Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death? It means even though we are going through
challenges in our life we don’t have to fear.
Walking in the Spirit: Scripture says we walk through the
valley of the shadow of death. Here walking is the part given to us. We have to
walk physically as well as spiritually.
To walk physically we need strength in
our body. But to walk spiritually, we need strength in our spirit. The above
verse gives us strength that even though we walk in the valley of the shadow of
death still we will fear no evil.
What is the meaning of shadow? It is a structure or shape
created by a body when it comes in contact with light. Shadow can not harm us
neither it has any power. The same way shadow of death has no power over us.
What is the shadow of death? Shadow of death is nothing
but the fear of death which leads to the destruction of our life.
What is the meaning of fear? It is a feeling which we get
when we are threatened or in danger.
What is the meaning of evil? It means immoral or wicked
one.
What is the meaning of I will fear no evil? This means
whatever will be our situation we don’t have to fear. Because evil one has no
authority and power against us.
Many people have a fear of Death. But Jesus has conquered
over Sin, Sickness, and Death. So we don’t have to fear death. We will live
forever in heaven. This life is temporary but life after this is eternal. So we
have to focus on eternal life.
What is the meaning of thou art with me? It means in
every situation of our life the LORD is with us. Wherever we go He is with us,
He follows us, He leads us, He guides us.
Rod and Staff has two different purposes. Rod is there to
cast away evil one from our life and staff is there for the sheep which is
going away from the path. Shepherd Rod is used mostly on the other animals that
come near to the sheep.
What is the meaning of rod and staff in psalm 23? The
meaning of rod is a stick which helps to protect sheep from other animal and
staff means the curve part of the stick which helps shepherd to lead and guide
sheep if it goes away.
What is the meaning of comfort? It is the feeling of
relaxation. Where we get relief from pain, anxiety, etc. It is the state where we
feel relaxed. There is no exhaustion or pain or suffering.
Comfort is what I get because of the rod and staff.
Comfort from rod is because I know LORD will cast away my enemies, and comfort
from staff is because I know even if I got away from the Lord or if I by
mistake choose wrong path LORD is there with His staff to lead me in the right
direction.

shadow of death mean? It means even if we go through trials and problems in our
life. Remember that the LORD is with us.

I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. Thank you for removing the
fear from me. Thank you for your rod and your staff which comforts me. In

Here in this scripture, three things are mention. First
is table before our enemies, second anointing and third cup runs over.
Enemy
put snare in front of us. But our LORD rescues us from that snare and not only
that but he prepares a table before our enemies. Thanks to the Lord who takes
care of us.
What is the meaning of Preparation? It is the step taken
by us to prepare something. Maybe we will prepare that thing for us or any
other person.
Preparation is a part of our day to day activity. We prepare so
many things. Those who cook the food prepare a nice meal, those who work they
prepare their work tasks. Children prepare their homework. Same way LORD is so
grateful that he prepare a table for us
.
What is the meaning of thou prepares a table before me in
the presence of mine enemies? This means LORD gives us victory over our
enemies. Our enemies will see us succeed in life and they will gnash their
teeth.
Preparing Table: When we prepare a table? When a guest or
someone special is coming to our home at that time we prepare the table. Here
LORD Himself prepares a table for us. It is a royal banquet prepared specially
for us.
Why LORD prepares a table? It is because he wants to give
us a feast in front of our enemies. When our loved one comes to our home we
give them a feast. Same way Lord give us feast.
What is the meaning of anointing? It means pouring oil
upon the head. It is a commandment from LORD to anoint people who want to serve
the LORD.
Why anointing is needed? It is needed to do some special
tasks to complete which requires special skill. Anointing makes a person
capable of doing that task.
Why Oil is used for anointing? Because oil is both
medicine and sacramental. LORD himself commanded that oil should be used to
anoint people.
What is the meaning of thou anointest my head with oil?
This means LORD gives us a special ability to achieve greater success in life.
Anointing makes a person capable of doing wonderful and great things.
He anoints my head with oil. This anointing helps me in
my daily routine. It helps me to fight the battles with my enemy.
Because of
this anointing, I get wisdom, strength, and power from LORD.
What is the meaning of my cup runneth over? It means the
abundance of blessings. When LORD starts pouring out blessings over us we can
not even imagine. Our cup of blessings will overflow.
Prayer: Dear LORD thank you for preparing the table for
me and anointing my head with oil. Thank you for your cup of blessing in my

Surely it is so sure that LORD is with us. He will never
leave us nor forsake us. We are under His refuge. He has the power to cast away
all the evil one.

Surely LORD is with us forever. He will not leave
us alone in this world. Because He knows that we are weak vessels and need His
attention and care.
What is the meaning of surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me? It means wherever we go LORD goodness and mercy will follow us.
Goodness and mercy are two characters of LORD which will follow us.
LORD wants his favor to be upon us. He wants us to be his
hair in this world. He wants us to follow His commandments and lead life as He
wants us to live.
Goodness and Mercy are part of our life now. We will
live happily with the LORD forever. Goodness is nothing but doing good things.
Our Lord knows how to do good things for us. Mercy is there when we require
special grace for us.
What is goodness? It is nothing but a person who is
morally in good standing with another person. Goodness is the character of a
virtuous man. A person who does all better things to fulfill the needs of
others.
What is the meaning of Mercy? Mercy is nothing but
compassion. If someone is guilty of something and if we have the power to
punish him but still we forgive him that means we have shown mercy to that
person.
Same way LORD’s mercy will follow us all the days of our life. Mercy is
shown to a person who needs great care and needs attention.
What is the meaning of following me? The meaning is very
simple. It means blessings will follow us wherever we go.
Goodness and mercy are chasing me now. I don’t have to
worry about tomorrow because LORD is in full control of my life. I have faith
in Him. He has given me victory over my enemies.
All the days: How many days we will leave on this earth?
Only LORD knows that, but whatever days we will leave LORD is with us and even
after death he will be with us.
What is the meaning of dwell? Dwell meaning is to live in
a specific location. Where we are going to dwell we will dwell in heaven for
the life after death or after coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our final destination will be in the house of the Lord
and that will be forever.
How is the House of the Lord? Bible says Jesus has
gone to heaven to prepare a place for us to dwell. If Jesus is the architect
then imagine how the place will be
.
What is the meaning of forever? It means for eternal,
which has no end.
