Psalm 50:14-17

Psalm 50:14-17

14 Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High,
15 And call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall honor and glorify Me.
16 But to the wicked, God says: What right have you to recite My statutes or take My covenant or pledge on your lips,
17 Seeing that you hate instruction and correction and cast My words behind you [discarding them]?

Praise God!
Here is a clear distinction that God makes between the godly and the ungodly.
The one who walks with God honours Him with thanksgiving and with praise for what God has done and he fulfils all his vows to the Lord. Meaning, fulfills all the requirements of God according to His word. — But on the other hand the ungodly praise God and recite the same words of thanksgiving and praise but do not fulfill the word of God by walking in it.
That is why God is asking them what right do they have to take His name in vain when they do not intend to walk in HIS statutes and commandments or have no heart to hear His words and live by them.
For when the Godly call out to the Lord He shall surely hear his cry and rescue him in the day of trouble but it will not be so with the ungodly.
This word is a good reflection for us to realise where we stand with The Lord and the areas where we need to change. Most importantly our words should match with our thoughts and actions and should reflect the truth in Gods word and the same truth should reflect in our lives this becomes a living sacrifice  of thanksgiving and praise and is acceptable to the Lord.
Let’s take a moment to pause and seek the things that God requires of us so that when we are aligned to the truth it set us free. And when we call on HIS name He sends help to answer us in the day of trouble. Amen!
Even today this stands true for all those who walk in love and in truth and you would be counted among the chosen few that God Himself has His sight  on. Amen!

God bless
